It's A Wonderful Life

Friday, November 29

THE BRUCE HOTEL

Harnett Room

7:00 PM

The Stratford Film Festival is pleased to announce our first Throwback Classic Cinema Screening with the holiday treasure, It’s A Wonderful Life, the Frank Capra tale of faith, family, and fun.

The film, loosely based on Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol, stars Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey, a smalltown hero who grows weary of his pedestrian existence. Left broke and despondent after a run on his family-owned bank, George goes into a downward spiral, but with the help of his Guardian Angel, Clarence, comes to realize the impact he’s had on his family and community.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or seeing the movie for the first time, enjoy viewing the newly remastered, beautifully colorized version of It’s a Wonderful Life on the big screen during this special holiday event.

The Bruce Hotel's Harnett Room will be transformed into a cosy private screening venue with couches, armchairs, blankets, and plenty of holiday cheer.

SFF Co-founder and classic film scholar, Bill Harris will introduce the film.

Seating is limited to 40
